M. Tech Project
- Developing a Vertical Search Engine for Educational Domain. This project is being done under the guidance of Prof. Pabitra Mitra, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering (May 2007 to present).
B. Tech Project
- Developing methods for using Structural Similarity for Information Retrieval by Wrapper Induction from HTML and XML Pages under the guidance of Prof. Pabitra Mitra, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering (February 2006 to present). [Paper to be published]
- Extracting Contextual features from XML.
Open Source Projects
- Google Summer of Code 2007: Moodle
Voice - Converted the existing moodle platform to multimodal application
which can be accessed by both voice and keyboard. The main technologies involved were LAMP architecture and VoiceXML. Check out the project development page for more details.
- Integrating ASR engine with the Wengo phone making it a multimodal application ie. Implementing voice navigation for WengoPhone. As the domain of words that the user can speak will be limited (limited number of commands and numbers) the voice recognition here will work very well and would not require training. Check out the project development page.
This project was done as a part of OpenWengo code camp.
Course Projects
- Implementation of Swarm Theory as a part of Kshitij
2005, Annual Techno-Management fest of IIT Kharagpur. The problem was to
formulate a strategy for a specified number of bots to explore maximum possible
area around them avoiding collisions from the obstacles and other bots spread
in the region (November
2004 to February 2005).
-
Completed a semester project as a part of the Natural Language
Processing course involving multi-document
summarization specifically to create a summary of movie reviews under the
guidance of Prof. Sudeshna Sarkar, Dept. of Computer Science &
Engineering (August 2006 to November 2006).
- Developed a Compiler (Lexical Analyzer & Parser) for 'Tiny-C', a subset of the C-language, as a part of the Compiler Design course under the guidance of Prof. Niloy Ganguly, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering (August 2005 to November 2005).
- Designed and implemented a basic 4 bit CPU as a part of Computer Organisation and Architecture course under the guidance of Prof. S. C. De Sarkar, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur (January 2005 to April 2005)
